Efe Demiral is an Istanbul-born guitarist, composer, producer and film composer, recognized as one of Turkey’s distinctive musical voices. He began playing guitar at the age of 15 and later studied music at Istanbul Bilgi University, where he was admitted on a full scholarship. Centering the guitar in his work, he creates a sound that organically blends acoustic and electronic elements, moving fluidly between song-oriented structures and instrumental expression.
Demiral released his debut album Inside Out in January 2016, receiving positive reviews from both local and international media. With its electro-acoustic guitar focus, the album is considered one of the early and notable examples of this approach within the Turkish music scene. His later releases, Uyku Pansiyon (2019) and the live trio album Kolaj (2022), reflect different phases of his musical direction and ensemble-based production.
Alongside his solo work, Demiral has collaborated extensively with a wide range of artists, contributing to both live performances and studio recordings. To date, he has produced and arranged approximately 150 songs. In 2019, he performed with his own group at the Montreux Jazz Festival Talent Awards.
Since 2023, Demiral has also been active as a film composer, bringing his distinctive approach to sound and composition into the cinematic realm. His film scores include On the Surface (2024) and Dump of Untitled Pieces (2025). In 2026, his score for Dump of Untitled Pieces received the Best Original Music Award at the Istanbul Film Festival.
Based in Berlin since 2025, Demiral continues to perform and compose internationally. In 2026, he released his fourth album, Inside Out X: reVisited, a duet-based reimagining of his debut album created to mark its 10th anniversary.
